Its little known the chalk actualy tries to climb back up the beach to the cliff it originated. Here you can see some of the chalk balls taking part in this bizzare habit.
Birling gap in Eastbourne. East sussex UK. 13 image stitch in 2 rows of 6 plus a random one. HDR 3 exposures per photo. 13x3= 39 images in total. Camera is Panasonic FZ50 Daily DeviationGiven 2009-05-13The Struggle by =wreck-photography Now this is what I call killer use of HDR to achieve a wonderful realistic look and feel, 39 shots total as the description says, and what a scene to photograph, the kind of shot I can stare at for hours...beautiful! Critiques
The colours are fantastic - you've adjusted contrast of this shot brilliantly, and really makes the colours "pop". The clouds especially have such a lovely tone of amber, which nice slips into a very slick carbon looking grey.
The composition is great in this shot. The rocks right in the foreground create a nice contrast with the epic looking cliffs in the far background, and the serene looking sea. You've made great use of the rule of thirds here too, and it really shows! <3
You've shot a great location (I believe this location has been featured in Digital Camera Magazine?), and one which I very much want to visit one day
